TORONTO – Conversys Inc. President Mark Baldwin is pleased to announce that Staples Canada has named the company Vendor of the Year for Direct Marketing. Recently acquired by Transcontinental Inc., Conversys is the leading Canadian print-to-web provider and is responsible for developing the Staples online flyer and catalogues for the Retail and Business Delivery division and linking these products to the Staples e-commerce website.
“Conversys was an easy choice for our annual Vendor of the Year award. Since the start of our relationship with them, they’ve always went above and beyond the call of duty, not only in terms of operational excellence but also in the sharing of new ideas on how we can improve our marketing efforts,” said Peter Watanabe, Director of Marketing, Online/Business Delivery, Staples Canada.
As the print-to-web marketing partner of Staples for over three years, Conversys has provided the office supply superstore with their successful online publishing program, which includes: providing customers with a highly interactive and rich user-experience; complete turnkey services; the ability to search by brand, category and special promotions; the ability to add products to Shopping Lists for in-store purchases; the ability to add products to Shopping Carts for direct online purchase; the availability to provide more information on each product; and comprehensive data analytics.
“Staples is a leader in online marketing, and we’re happy to be able to continue our long-standing partnership with them as the possibilities of the web continue to grow,” said Mark Baldwin, President of Conversys Inc. “Being part of the Transcontinental family will also help Staples and our other clients ensure that their online marketing is best aligned with their print materials and at the same time, provide a seamless transition from one medium to the other.”
Conversys, a Transcontinental company, specializes in the seamless transformation of print marketing materials such as flyers and catalogs into rich, interactive Web content that is user friendly and brand-consistent across multiple channels.
The award was presented to Conversys on March 23rd to an audience of all of Staples major Canadian vendors, store managers and corporate managers.
